Prima Gridmat scores at Charity Cricket Match!

When Rothley Park Cricket Club, one of the longest established amateur clubs in England, approached PRIMA to support their annual charity cricket match between the Leicester Tigers and a ‘Matt Hampson XI’ of Leicestershire’s sporting stars including Martin Johnson, Austin Healey and Gerry Taggart, the company didn’t hesitate in getting involved!

PRIMA supplied the company’s instant portable flooring system, PRIMA Gridmat in the Tigers colours of red, white and green, complete with ramp edging, to protect the playing area around the pavilion and provide access for disabled guests, including guest of honour Matt Hampson. PRIMA Gridmat and its sister access solution PRIMA Terra-Tech instant roadway, have recently achieved two prestigious NOEA (National Outdoor Events Association) awards for disabled accessibility and environmental properties.

The match, which is in its fifth year, raised over £3000 for the Matt Hampson Trust and Rothley Park CC junior development programme and provided much drama for the 1000 spectators. Leicester Tigers, needing only one run to clinch the match, lost on the final ball as new signing Toby Flood made a diving catch to make it a win for the Matt Hampson XI!
