It’s another National Award for Prima!

PRIMA, the UK’s leading flooring and access solutions manufacturer, has scooped another national business award. The company’s most recent accolade, is the ‘Production Partnership Tribute’ presented by the National Outdoor Events Association (NOEA) at the organisation’s 30th anniversary celebrations.

PRIMA beat off strong competition to be awarded the ‘Production Partnership Tribute’ for its work on the prestigious, North West EN Deals of the Year ceremony, held at Manchester’s MEN Arena. PRIMA partnered Excel Publishing on the event, manufacturing and installing 24,000sq ft of bespoke jet black carpet, to transform the venue into a fabulous rock themed event, in honour of the host, Rick Wakeman of the rock group YES! This award follows on from PRIMA’s double-winning year of 2008, where the company received both the ‘Green Tribute’ and ‘Accessibility Tribute’ for its flagship, environmentally-friendly, access systems – PRIMA Gridmat and PRIMA Terra-Tech.

The ‘Production Partnership Tribute’ recognises organisations which demonstrate excellent teamwork in the delivery of an exceptional event. This project was to date, the largest single carpet contract the company had ever undertaken.

Jeremy Simpson, business development manager, PRIMA said: “We had to negotiate a number of logistics in the production of this event. Not only was it the company’s largest ever single carpet contract but the installation was required in the exact week as one of our key trade exhibitions. However, the commitment and dedication from the team and our partners at Excel ensured it was a great success. Winning the NOEA Award in recognition of our working relationship is the icing on the cake!”

The EN Deals ceremony was our first partnering project but we quickly established an excellent rapport due to our similar work ethic.
