Prima in the pink for charity

This month saw the UK’s first ‘Field of Women’ breast cancer charity event take place at Liverpool Cricket Club and Leicester-based PRIMA Hire Ltd was quick to stump up support!

PRIMA, one of the leading manufacturers and suppliers of event flooring and portable access systems, provided two of the company’s award-winning, eco-friendly products – PRIMA Gridmat instant flooring and PRIMA Terra-Tech instant roadway – to protect the pitch during the creation of ‘pink lady Lucy’, the focal point of the event. Both systems, which are manufactured in recycled polypropylene, recently achieved two prestigious NOEA (National Outdoor Events Association) awards for their environmental properties and disabled accessibility.

Field of Women was attended by over 3000 people and each was given a pink poncho to wear to create ‘Lucy’, a 75m long woman, to raise awareness about breast cancer. 

John Ratcliffe, manager for the event said: “Prima Hire Ltd was able to offer us the essential temporary solution which allowed the LUCY shape to be formed on top of the county cricket wicket area at Liverpool Cricket ground and protect the grass cricket square. The service provided was quick and efficient from start to finish and I would like to thank all involved for their help.”
