First ever Beach Polo for Britain, call Prima first!

The stunning, coastal resort of Sandbanks, Dorset played host to the first ever British Beach Polo Championships recently, and Leicester-based PRIMA Hire Ltd’s unique instant roadway system was commissioned to help ensure the weather did not prevent this prestigious event being a runaway success!

Beach Polo Championships have been held at many of the world’s most exotic locations, including Miami and Dubai, and the British event organisers were keen to have an equally exclusive venue for the first British Championships. Sandbanks on the English south coast, playground of the rich and famous, was deemed perfect and some 2000 spectators descended upon the purpose-built arena during the two-day tournament to watch six international teams compete.

Leaders in the event flooring industry, PRIMA were asked to provide their PRIMA Terra-Tech instant roadway, the company’s award-winning, eco-friendly portable roadway system, in order to allow the arena infrastructure to be built on the beach and protect the surface underneath. PRIMA Terra-Tech, along with its sister product PRIMA Gridmat, have both recently achieved NOEA (National Outdoor Events Association) awards for their environmental properties and disabled accessibility.
